金门村位于太平镇西南部，村委会距镇政府约7公里，下辖14个村民小组。[1]村名取金门、年丰两村曾同属一乡时，金鸡村与门口岗村的首字「金」「门」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年此地属金门乡，辖年丰、金门两片。1958年分设年丰、金门两个大队；1983年与年丰、石桐两个大队合并，称元岗乡。博雅地名网记1986年改称金门大队，1989年设管理区，1999年改称村委会。[1]

2026年1月，金门村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。2021年9月，金门村入选第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，主打香瓜。[1]

人口与产业[edit]

村域面积2.7平方千米，耕地1387亩，鱼塘523亩，633户、2266人。村境为丘陵地带，缺少水源，以水稻、花生、水果、香瓜、冬瓜为主，并养殖塘鱼。[1]
