马岳村位于太平镇西南部，村委会距镇政府约2公里，下辖19个村民小组。[1]村委会的行政中心设在规模较大的马岳自然村，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年此地称马塘乡，1958年设马岳大队。1983年马岳大队撤销并入马塘乡；1986年马塘乡撤销后，此地改设马岳村委会，1989年设管理区，1999年改为村委会。[1]

2019年9月，马岳村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单；2023年5月，广东省爱卫会授予新村村、下角村、上角村、刘三妹村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]

人口与产业[edit]

村域面积5.1平方千米，耕地1264亩，鱼塘355亩，人均耕地只有二分多。全村3868人、1020户。村内有马岳、盈富两个工业区，工厂涉及鞋业、塑胶、机械、饲料和食品等。[1]
