蒲兴村是太平镇东南部的行政村，村委会距镇政府约3公里，下辖16个村民小组。[1]成立大队时，村名取辖区蒲芦村的首字「蒲」和福兴村的末字「兴」，寄望幸福兴旺。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国期间，此地属大南乡。1958年从南蒲乡分设蒲兴大队，1983年与南蒲合并为南蒲乡，1986年复称蒲兴村委会，1989年设管理区，1999年改为村委会。[1]

2022年1月，蒲兴村被省乡村振兴部门列为2021年广东省乡村治理示范村的创建村。2023年5月，该村的十五村、十一村与第五村获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。2026年1月，蒲兴村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]

人口与产业[edit]

全村598户、2230人，耕地约1144亩，以水稻、花生、沙糖桔为主，并养殖塘鱼。[1]
