独树村是飞来峡镇下辖的行政村。2022年10月，广东省农业农村厅把独树村认定为「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，主打产品是乌鬃鹅。村名来自村旁的一棵大树。[1]

名称由来[edit]

明朝嘉靖年间，村中有一座庙，庙前有一棵大树，人们称之为独树庙。村委会驻地设在附近，遂以独树为村名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

独树村早年属黄口乡管辖，1963年才定名独树大队。1983年复设乡，1987年改设村委会，1989年一度改为管理区，1999年重新设为村委会。[1]
