定安村位于龙塘镇西南部，距龙塘墟约6千米，省道269线贯穿全村。村中的鳌岗地村有清代宗祠桂轩郑公祠。[1][2][3]

地名由来[edit]

村名取村民生活安定之意。[1]

地理与人口[edit]

村域面积约500公顷，下辖15个自然村小组，耕地约1680亩，水田约2570亩，人口3686人，外来人口2350人（数字见于博雅地名网，未注年份）。村庄地处丘陵，历来以种植水稻、花生和杂粮为业。[1]

集市与学校[edit]

村集体在省道269线旁建起集贸市场，成为龙塘镇新兴的墟镇，既是周边村民农副产品的交易点，也是外来工的购物中心。村中有私营铭源小学、龙塘镇第二小学，并设有一个卫生站。[1]

鳌岗地村[edit]

鳌岗地村始建于清顺治年间，由中原南迁的人口形成，现存传统民居82座，村中有宗祠2座。[2]

桂轩郑公祠俗称「八柱厅」，建于清代，五间三进，建筑占地约738平方米，梁架和柁墩多饰木雕瑞兽与花卉图案。[2][3]

2012年3月，井岭与鳌岗地两村都入选「第三批广东省古村落」。[4]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予定安村「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2019年9月，定安村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
