历史沿革[edit]
元朝末年，有人在此处一块高起的土地上建村聚居，取名踵头塱，村委会驻地也设在这里，村名由此而来。[1]
1958年为大队，1983年为乡，1987年改设村委会，1989年为管理区，1999年1月重回村委会，沿用至今。[1]
文化[edit]
鸡板岭观音坐莲一带有钟母李太孺人墓，《清远县文物志》记作钟令公李太夫人墓。墓建于半山腰，坐东南朝西北。据墓志铭，墓的始建年代为明万历十七年（1589年）。[1]
