地名由来[edit]
村中一口水塘的形状像一块美玉，村名由此而来。村委会驻玉塘村，地名沿用至今。[1]
沿革[edit]
1953年设立乡政府时已用玉塘作名，此后经大队、乡、管理区等建制，1999年复为村委会。[1]
概况[edit]
村委会耕地1966亩，耕地土壤肥沃、水源充足，属粮食产区，经农田低改后效果较好。村辖5个自然村，即曲塘、大江边、玉塘、元罗岭、新村。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，玉塘村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
