黄茶村又称黄茶塱村，是东城街道西北部的传统村落，距街道办事处约3千米，始建于清乾隆二年（1737年）。[1]
村落由黄大宾、黄粤宾两兄弟迁来谋生定居而形成。村中现存两座清代宗祠，并出过清光绪年间的举人黄昌祚。[1]
村落变迁[edit]
1983年起，大部分村民迁到清高公路南侧新建的住宅。人口增多后，又有不少村民迁往村北公路边建房。如今村民分为东一、东二、西头、西一、西二5个村民小组。[1]
老村依山势而建，门前有池塘一口；新址位于笔架山与大帽山之间的山脚平地上。[1]
隶属沿革[edit]
从建村起到1930年，黄茶归清远县捕属的兴一乡；民国二十年（1931年）后划入兴靖区的联城乡，1953年改隶第一区石板乡。人民公社时期它是附城公社石板大队的一部分，1981年单设黄茶大队；1986年起归附城镇石板行政村，2003年东城街道设立后，仍在石板村之下。[1]
宗祠[edit]
村中现存大宾公祠与粤宾黄公祠，均始建于清代，2000年重修，两祠合占地近600平方米。两祠为三间两进布局，硬山顶，屋脊作双龙戏珠彩塑，外墙贴彩色瓷片，保存完整。[1]
人物[edit]
黄昌祚在清光绪十一年乙酉科以81岁高龄参加乡试，被朝廷依例钦赐为举人，功名称「钦赐第一名举人」。他15岁中秀才，1872年以65岁高龄考取恩贡生。[1]
