双窖镇位于广东省阳江市阳春市西南部，东邻三甲镇，南接八甲镇，西与高州市大坡镇毗邻，北与高州市马贵镇交界，辖区面积279.2平方千米[1]。镇政府驻双滘圩红旗路1号[1]。百度百科以双滘镇为中文名，博雅地名网则作双窖镇[1][2]。全镇辖1个社区、23个行政村[2]。

名称与地名由来[edit]

清乾隆年间（1736年至1795年），双坪河与双滘河在一片河滩上相汇，早年在此形成圩场，因称双滘圩；镇政府驻此，镇名也由此得来[2]。博雅地名网的镇名和多数村社区名写作双窖，个别村委会的设立记载则作双滘[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代（1368年至1911年）此地属太平都。民国初年至1952年，它隶属阳春县第四区；1952年7月起称第十区。1953年8月撤区后成为双滘乡，三年之后即1956年7月又叫双滘区；1959年3月，公社取代了区建制。1983年再次设为双滘区，1987年撤区立镇，镇名为双滘镇[1][2]。

地理环境[edit]

镇域多山地丘陵，水资源丰富，双坪河与双滘河在圩场一带汇合[2]。气候属亚热带季风气候[1]。

人口[edit]

百度百科以2019年末户籍人口计，全镇为80266人[1]。博雅地名网载，第七次全国人口普查结果（2021年6月）登记全镇人口为3.71万人，在阳春市各街道乡镇中居第10位[2]。两者年份与口径不同，需分别看待。

经济与农产品[edit]

镇内主要农产品为砂姜、砂仁、龙眼、树菠萝、矮瓜、紫天椒、马水桔与荔枝[3]。砂姜种植面积超过6000亩，主要集中在黄江、黄沙、大陈、蒲竹等村委一带，黄江一带也是砂姜粗加工与外销的集散地[3]。龙眼等水果种植约1.5万亩[3]。概况页未注明上述数字的年份[3]。
