高尧村是阳春市潭水镇下辖的行政村。据博雅地名网，明朝时当地瑶民称此地为「高田」，村名中的「尧」字则取自「瑶垌」。[1]

1951年，高尧村自凤翔乡划出设乡，此后经大队、乡政府等阶段，1999年2月4日设立村委会。[2]

2020年8月，高尧村列入首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，产业为广藿香。2019年9月，该村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
