轮水村是岗美镇下辖的行政村，村内有明清时期的谢氏宗祠，当地称之为「秀才村」。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年此地设乡，之后多次改制，1998年10月，阳春市人民政府批准设置轮水村委会。[1]

地理[edit]

村域地势低洼，邻近轮水河与上寨河，属易受浸淹的区域。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

轮水谢氏宗祠前身建于明代万历十四年（1587年），到光绪二年（1877年）整修时前一进被缩短，如今是二进五开间带两廊的悬山顶建筑，博雅地名网列为广东省文物保护单位。祠内各式浮雕精细，内容有花鸟虫鱼、历史人物与山水。当地因谢氏家族历代重教，将村子称作「秀才村」。[1][3][4]

荣誉[edit]

2019年12月，该村进入第一批国家森林乡村的名录。2021年12月，阳江市把轮水村委会辖下的新安村评为卫生村。[1]
