瓦盎村是阳春市合水镇下辖的行政村。村落始建于明嘉靖年间，因村民在四面环山、形如瓦盆的地方建村而得名。1978年自平东大队分出瓦盎大队，1999年3月4日设立瓦盎村委会。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明嘉靖年间（1522年—1566年），农户选在四周环山、状如瓦盆的所在建村，因而命名瓦盎。至1978年，瓦盎自平东大队中分出，另设大队。1983年设乡政府，1986年起称村委会，其后于1989年改为管理区。经阳春市人民政府批准，于1999年3月4日设立瓦盎村委会，此名延用至今。[1]
