平西村是阳春市合水镇下辖的行政村。1951年自平坦乡分出，因位于原平坦乡西部而设平西大队，1999年3月4日经阳春市人民政府批准设立平西村委会。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1951年，平西从平坦乡分出，因地处原平坦乡的西部，设立平西大队。1983年设乡政府，1986年起称村委会，其后于1989年改为管理区。经阳春市人民政府批准，于1999年3月4日设立平西村委会，此名延用至今。[1]

文化[edit]

该村于2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
