竹步村是广东省阳江市阳春市石望镇下辖的行政村，据载明嘉靖年间已建村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

竹步村建于明嘉靖年间（1522—1566年）。1949年后设乡，1958年改大队，1983年起为乡政府，1986年设村委会，1989年划作管理区，1999年定名竹步村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，竹步村列入2018年度「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]

2021年12月，蒲朗村入选2021年度阳江市卫生村。[1]

2023年10月，竹步村入选2023年度阳江市卫生村之列，同批所列村名另有红星村、河口村等。[1]
