1977年自新光大队分出，设立新光大队。1986年为村委会，1989年称管理区。[1]

1999年3月，阳春市人民政府同意组建新土朗（合并）村委会，此名沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年10月，博雅地名网该页所载的新朗村获评阳江市2023年度卫生村。[1]
