百度百科称，该村面积约12444亩，2007年人口为3890人，耕地面积则是4251亩。村里以种桑养蚕为主，蚕桑面积2100亩，是河西街道最大的生产基地。[2]

2023年10月，新村入选2023年度阳江市卫生村；建塘寨村则在2021年12月入选2021年度阳江市卫生村。[1]

1949年建乡，1999年3月4日经阳春市人民政府批准，三湖村委会设立，沿用至今。[1]

近年建设[edit]

百度百科称，2024年村中照明工程完工，共有131盏太阳能路灯，数字乡村建设随之启动。[2]
