历史沿革[edit]

明朝时，此地在南厢都下设头堡；1953年属龙湖乡。1965年与黎湖、三湖一同划为农业生产区，转为头堡大队。[1]

其后，1983年改乡政府，1986年改村委会，1989年改管理区；1999年3月4日，阳春市政府同意设立头堡村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年8月，头堡村被纳入省民主法治示范村（社区）的创建范围。2026年1月，头堡村获评广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村。[1]
