边海村位于儒洞镇境内，是镇下辖的行政村，属村庄。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国元年，边海属阳江县第七区儒洞乡。1953年改入第十七区，称边海乡；1956年12月归儒洞区，1958年5月隶属儒洞乡，同年改归大跃进人民公社。1959年成为边海生产大队，从属儒洞人民公社；1967年变更为边海革命委员会，1970年才又称生产大队。[2]

1983年，大队撤销后改设边海乡，归儒洞区管辖。1987年2月此地转为边海村委会，隶属儒洞镇。1988年，阳江市与阳西县分设，边海改属阳西县儒洞镇。1989年改设管理区，1999年村委会复设，名称延续至今。[2]

近年的荣誉：2019年9月，边海村名列2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。2020年8月，边海村以丝苗米产业入选首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村。2023年11月，边海村入选「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村。2024年4月，边海村列入「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]
