儒洞社区位于儒洞镇中心区，是镇内两个社区之一。[1]

地名由来[edit]

相传古代有一位姓儒的人在此居住。这里是一片开阔的大田垌，人们称之为儒垌，后来因笔误，「儒垌」被写作「儒洞」，地名便沿用下来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1959年8月，此地组建了一支居民大队，归儒洞公社。1983年它成为居民委员会，1989年改设社区办事处，1999年又恢复居委会一级的建制，名称一直保留至今。[1]
