前步村是阳西县沙扒镇下辖的行政村，属镇乡结合区。它在1949年属阳江县管辖，1959年改称前步生产大队，2003年划入沙扒镇。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年，前步属阳江县第七区；1953年归阳江县第十七区书村乡，1957年改属儒洞区。1958年起它先归儒洞乡，同年底又改由人民公社统辖；1959年前步成为生产大队，1983年又设为乡。[1]
1987年改设前步村委会，归儒洞镇领导；1988年阳西建县后仍在儒洞镇。1989年改为管理区，1999年又设回村委会。2003年并入沙扒镇，此名沿用到现在。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年9月，荔枝一项让前步村进入第二批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村的行列。[1]
前步村在2021年12月获阳江市卫生村的称号。2026年1月，它又获评省第二批“百千万工程”典型村。[1]
