来福园村是阳西县沙扒镇下辖的行政村，属镇乡结合区，原属儒洞镇。村名本作“来复园”，因一片旧茶园而来。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

此地原属书村辖地。陈姓先祖在此建村，先辟出一片茶园。园旁是大路，村民出行必经此处，往来频繁，于是惯称“来复园”。后来人丁兴旺，园地改建为民居，地名仍称来复园，之后为图吉利，改写为“来福园”。据博雅地名网所载，村委会驻地设于此，故名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年以前，来福园属阳江县第七区。1953年起归阳江县书村乡，1956年改属儒洞区，1958年先后属儒洞乡与儒洞人民公社，1961年转属书村人民公社，1963年又归儒洞人民公社。[2]

1983年设来福园乡，隶属儒洞区；1987年改设来福园村委会，属儒洞镇。1988年阳西建县，村仍属儒洞镇；1989年改为管理区，1999年又改回村委会建制。博雅地名网记该村2012年划入沙扒镇管辖，此后仍称来福园村村委会。[2][1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年8月，省农业农村厅首次公布的“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村中，来福园以浅色黄姑鱼入选。[1]

2019年9月，村庄进入一份针对上一年度省民主法治示范创建的名单。2026年1月，来福园被评为省第二批“百千万工程”典型村。[1]
