福湖村是上洋镇的一个行政村，1949年即称福湖村，1999年村委会恢复，此名沿用至今。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年属阳江县第七区，名为福湖村；1953年属第十六区福湖乡；1956年归上洋区。1958年5月隶上洋乡，同年12月划入儒洞人民公社，另设福湖管理区。[2]

此后1959年10月隶上洋人民公社，下设福湖生产大队；1983年设立福湖乡（属上洋区）；1987年村委会组建，归上洋镇；1988年阳西分县后属阳西县上洋镇；1989年改为管理区；1999年村委会复设。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，福湖村委会下的红坎头村入选2021年度阳江市卫生村名单。[1]
