南山海村是上洋镇的一个行政村。1987年改为南山海渔业委员会，1999年村委会恢复，此名沿用至今。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年属阳江县第七区；1953年属第十八区南河乡；1956年归儒洞区，1958年5月转入儒洞乡，同年12月属儒洞人民公社。[2]

1959年，此地隶沙扒人民公社，同时设立南山海生产大队；1965年又归上洋人民公社；1979年转入河北人民公社，仍称南山海生产大队。1983年设南山海乡，隶上洋区；1987年改称南山海渔业委员会，归上洋镇；1988年阳西分县后归阳西县上洋镇；1989年转为南山海渔业管理区的辖地，1999年村委会重设。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2026年1月，南山海村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村称号。[1]
