南堡村是上洋镇的一个行政村。1949年属阳江县第七区南石乡，1999年村委会复设，名称沿用至今。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年属阳江县第七区南石乡；1953年属第十六区南堡乡；1956年归上洋区。1958年5月隶上洋乡，同年12月划入儒洞人民公社。[2]

此地1959年改称南堡生产大队，隶上洋人民公社；1983年改设南堡乡，隶上洋区；此后1987年村委会组建，归上洋镇；1988年阳西分县后属阳西县上洋镇；1989年设管理区；1999年村委会恢复。[2]

荣誉[edit]

阳江市2021年度卫生村名单（同年12月公布）含面前山村、蒲山村与南堡村。博雅地名网还载有南联村、先锋村于2023年度入选阳江市卫生村。[1]
