菩提村是上洋镇的一个行政村，博雅地名网载其名为“菩堤村”。1999年村委会重设，名称沿用至今。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年此地为菩提乡，属阳江县第七区；1953年改属第十六区，1956年成为上洋区的辖地。1958年5月隶属上洋乡，1959年隶属上洋人民公社，其下为菩提生产大队。[2]

1983年复设乡级建制，仍属上洋区；1987年2月组建村委会，属上洋镇；1988年阳西分县后归阳西县上洋镇；1989年改称管理区，1999年村委会重设。[2]

荣誉[edit]

阳江市卫生村的2021年度名单（同年12月公布）中，菩提村与犁园村、河村、便塘村同列。[1]
