中北村位于阳西县程村镇，由黄什村委会分出，当时一分为四：黄什、平中、中西、中北四村，中北因位于北边而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

中北村的前身是1949年11月设立的中北行政村，归阳江县六区管辖。1953年此地隶阳江十二区，并设中北乡；1956年划入程村区，1957年2月改归黄什乡，1958年5月属程村乡。[2]

1958年11月并入大跃进人民公社，1959年起设中北生产大队，转入程村人民公社。1967年起设中北革命委员会，1980年改称生产大队管委会，1983年春设中北乡。1987年2月组建中北村委会，1988年阳西建县后隶属阳西县程村镇；1989年9月改称中北管理区，1999年9月恢复中北村委会。[2]

2021年度「阳江市卫生村」名单中有青山坡村、镬尔屋村、岑村仔村、新庆村（2021年12月确定）。[1]
