荔潭村位于阳西县程村镇，村里曾广植荔枝，私路河流经此地形成一处深潭，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年10月此地属阳江县六区，同年11月成立荔潭行政村。1953年隶属阳江县十二区，1956年归程村区，1958年5月隶属程村乡。同年11月并入大跃进人民公社，12月改属织篢人民公社，1959年设荔潭生产大队。[2]

1983年设荔潭乡，1987年2月组建荔潭村委会，1988年阳西建县后隶属阳西县程村镇。1989年设荔潭管理区，1999年9月恢复荔潭村委会。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年度「阳江市卫生村」名单中有茶地尾村、私路村（2021年12月确定）。2019年9月，荔潭村列入2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建名单。[1]
