西朝村位于合山镇北部，是阳东区管辖下的一个行政村，与那龙镇佛子底村相邻。据百度百科，全村户籍人口百余人，皆姓钟，是全镇唯一只含一个自然村的村委会。该村始建于清康熙十九年（1680年），此前叫作河口村，因村前那龙河形成了河运码头，1944年才改用现名。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年废除甲保制度，随后设为行政村，隶属三区的那顿乡。1958年乡制撤销，改设生产大队，归合山人民公社的那顿大队所辖。1980年从那顿分出，成立西朝管理区，1999年才有西朝村委会。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

西朝村被评为2022年广东省卫生村。博雅地名网载，2023年5月，广东省爱卫会授予西朝村“2022年广东省卫生村”称号。[3][4]
