洋边村是阳江市江城区平冈镇下辖的行政村。村子靠近洋边海，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

保甲制于1949年11月撤销，洋边随之设为行政村，归四区管辖。1953年12月，它划入洋周石乡；1957年2月撤区建大乡，隶属平冈乡。1958年11月，公社化初期的洋边处于东风人民公社之下，属洋周石管理区；1959年又归洋周石生产大队。[1][2]

1978年，原洋周石大队被拆分，形成周村、洋边、石庙三个大队之后，洋边在1983年11月设为乡，隶属平冈区。1987年2月撤区建镇，它留在平冈镇内，乡改为村委会，之后一度为管理区；1999年4月13日复设村委会，仍属平冈镇。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，洋边村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
