石柱村是阳江市江城区平冈镇下辖的行政村。博雅地名网说，村委驻地原先竖立有四根柱子，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年11月撤销保甲制后，这里设石柱行政村，属四区；1953年12月改称石柱乡，属十区。1956年农业合作化时归平冈区，1958年11月公社化初期称石柱管理区，属东风人民公社。[1][2]

东风公社于1959年2月撤销，石柱随之归入平冈人民公社；同年，原管理区改建为石柱生产大队。1961年5月，这里改隶平冈区内的平冈人民公社，1963年2月区与公社再次合并。1967年8月设革委会，1970年12月复称管委会。[2]

1983年11月设石柱乡，隶属平冈区；1987年2月撤区建镇，属平冈镇。1999年4月13日撤管理区，改设村委会。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2023年11月，石柱村入选「广东百千万工程首批典型县镇村」。2019年9月，石柱村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
