河东西村是广东省阳江市江城区平冈镇下辖的行政村，属镇乡结合区。村名取自江头河：这条河由北向南穿过辖区，把辖区分成东西两部分。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年这里是河东西行政村；1957年改设河东西乡，1958年称管理区，1959年设大队，1983年再次为乡。1987年改为村委会，其后又曾为管理区，1999年重新称村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年4月，河东西村入选「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[1]
