山外东村是埠场镇的行政村，在阳江市江城区，位于镇东部，濒海。村名因地处将军山以东而得，距阳江市区约8公里；据百度百科，从本村到山外西村的海岸线长约13.75公里。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

民国38年（1949）此处属四区埠五乡，同年建为行政村。1953年改属十区山外东乡；1956年并入平冈区，1957年改属平东乡，1958年属平冈乡。[1][2]

1958年11月属东风人民公社，设山外东管理区；1959年改设山外东生产大队管委会，同年10月改属平冈人民公社。1961年5月归埠场人民公社，1963年又回平冈。1967年8月设山外东生产大队革委会，1975年6月改属埠场人民公社，1980年12月革委会撤销，改称管委会。[2]

1983年11月大队改为山外东乡，隶山外东区。1987年2月乡改为山外东村委会，后又成为管理区。1988年隶江城区埠场乡，1993年埠场乡改镇；1999年4月村委会复设，仍归埠场镇。[2]

经济[edit]

百度百科称，2020年村集体经济收入150万元，人均分红1200元。村里依托沿河临海的条件，发展连片鱼虾养殖，建成5000余亩养殖基地；村内有13公里沙滩，已规划为休闲娱乐功能区。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，南津村获评「2021年度阳江市卫生村」。2023年10月，新村、角塘村等11个村获评「2023年度阳江市卫生村」。[1][3]
