山外西村是广东省阳江市江城区埠场镇下辖的行政村，位于埠场镇东南面。村名因辖区在将军山以外的西面而得，下辖12条自然村。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年（民国38年）阳江恢复区乡建制时，此地归四区埠五乡，同年11月建为山外西行政村。1953年改属十区山外西乡；1956年并入平冈区，1957年改属平东乡，1958年属平冈乡。[1][2]

1958年11月设山外西管理区，隶东风人民公社；1959年改设生产大队管委会，同年改属平冈人民公社。1961年5月归埠场人民公社，1963年又回平冈。1967年8月设山外西生产大队革委会，1975年6月改属埠场人民公社，1980年12月革委会撤销，恢复管委会。[2]

1983年，大队改为山外西乡，隶属山外西区。1987年，乡改为山外西村委会，此后再改管理区。1988年隶江城区埠场乡，1993年埠场乡改镇；1999年4月村委会复设，村仍属埠场镇。[2]

地理与经济[edit]

百度百科给出的面积为1287公顷，折合约12.87平方千米。村内耕地2000亩，海滩涂2000亩，海水养殖5800亩，由村委会集中管理滩涂资源。这些亩数未注明年份。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，山外西村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2021年9月，山外西村列入广东省农业农村厅公布的第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，产品为青头鸭。2022年11月，山外西村获评「2021年度全国综合减灾示范社区」。2023年10月，石山村、下寨村等六个村获评「2023年度阳江市卫生村」。[1][3]

百度百科又记，2025年12月《阳江市江城区埠场镇山外西村村庄规划（2025—2035年）》公示；村庄入选广东省「百县千镇万村高质量发展工程」第三批典型村名单。[3]
