阮东村是广东省阳江市江城区城西街道下辖的行政村，与阮西村相邻，同属漠阳江沿岸的阮屋旧地。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

明弘治十三年（1500年），阮氏由新会县潭江村迁到今址建村，初称“阮屋”，后称阮东。1949年11月设阮东行政村，属一区西北乡；1953年属一区新阮乡；1956年12月起属附城区城西乡。[2]

1976年8月与阮西合并称新风大队，1977年3月复设阮东大队。1983年撤公社改设阮东乡，1987年改为村委会，后又改为管理区；1999年8月复设村委会；2003年改属城西街道。[2]

荣誉[edit]

阮东村在2019年9月名列2018年度广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位，2022年1月又被广东省乡村振兴部门确定为2021年广东省乡村治理示范村的创建单位。2026年3月，该村进入第三批广东“百千万工程”典型村镇名单。[1]
