村名取自长坪、谭郊两个自然村各一字。[1] 1953年这里称长坪，后与随垌合并为随长乡；1975年分出，设坪郊生产大队。2014年9月9日起，村子划归城北街道管辖，此后延续至今。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
这里原称长坪，后与随垌合并，改称随长乡。1975年分出，设坪郊生产大队，归岗列人民公社管辖。1980年12月24日，它改为管委会。1983年设坪郊乡，属岗列区；1987年改为村委会，后又改为管理区；1999年5月4日复设村委会。[1]

据百度百科，村里陆续把集体留用地拿到网上挂牌出租，近三年村集体收入每年都超过100万元。[2]
