玉沙村是广东省阳江市江城区城南街道下辖的行政村。村址原为冲积沙滩，沙色洁白如玉，村名由此而来。明末由吴姓人家在此建村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明末清初属阳江县长乐乡郡台都，清末民初属阳江县一区。1949年11月撤销保甲，建立区、乡，此地成为玉沙行政村，属一区东南乡。1950年代行政隶属变动频繁，先后归岗列乡、城南乡、附城乡；1958年11月设玉沙管理区，之后改属江城、岗列两个人民公社。[2]

1983年11月设玉沙乡，属岗列区。1987年改为玉沙村委会，后又称玉沙管理区，1999年5月复设玉沙村委会。1988年阳江升格为地级市后，玉沙改属江城区岗列街道；1994年改属岗列镇，2003年复设街道，仍属岗列街道；2006年8月31日改属城南街道。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，该村列入2018年度「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
