涧头村是东源县涧头镇下辖的行政村，位于镇境之内，属镇乡结合区，与涧新村、涧头社区等相邻。[1]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

最早定居此地的是简姓族人，地称「简屋」。后来简姓人外迁，李姓人迁到这里，地名改为涧头。[1]

1958年为涧头大队，1983年改设涧头乡，1987年改为涧头管理区。1999年经县里批准设立涧头村委会，此后沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，涧头村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
