下屯村是东源县义合镇下辖的行政村，北靠群山，南临东江，村中保存着清代客家古民居，也是省级重点文物阮啸仙故居的所在地。[1][2][4]

地名由来[edit]

村子紧靠东江，地势平坦。约六百年前阮姓人迁来，把居于江下游一段的地方称为下屯，村名由此而来。[1]

村中族谱记载，明朝末年阮氏三世祖迁入此地，至今已传到二十七世。[4]

古民居[edit]

全村保存完好的清代古民居有14栋，此外还有九幢客家古民居分散在村中各处。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

阮啸仙故居为三进院落的客家围屋式民居，始建于清代，1996年首次修复，2004年底又重新维修。1989年，广东省人民政府把该故居定为省级重点文物保护单位；2002年，省政府对此再次核定公布。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年为下屯大队，1983年改为下屯乡，1987年改为下屯管理区，1999年东源县政府同意设立下屯村委会，村级建制延续至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年6月，下屯村被收入第五批中国传统村落名录。同年9月，该村也进入民主法治示范村的创建名单。[1]

2022年1月，广东省乡村振兴局把下屯村定为2021年度乡村治理示范村的创建单位；2023年11月，下屯村入选全国第三批乡村治理示范村名单。[1]

2024年4月，下屯村进入省级乡村振兴示范村的创建名单，属广东省第一批。同年11月，村庄获得2024年度美丽庭院特色村的认定。2025年3月，它获评第七届全国文明村镇。[1]
