上屯村属义合镇，地处东江边，地势平坦。[1]

地名由来[edit]

约六百年前，阮姓人迁入。因村子居于东江沿岸上段，人们称此地为上屯。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年为上屯大队，1983年改设上屯乡，1987年改为上屯管理区。1999年，东源县政府批准成立上屯村委会，此后未再变更。[1]

2019年9月，上屯村在2018年度广东省民主法治示范村的创建名单中有名。[1]
