超阳村位于义合镇东部，是镇内最靠东的村庄，属行政村一级。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村庄最初叫「朝阳」，因地处全镇东端，太阳从这里升起。方言里「朝」与「超」读音相同，于是写成「超阳」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年，此地有超阳初级社；1954年转为高级社，1958年编为超阳大队。1983年改设超阳乡，1987年再改为超阳管理区。直到1999年，东源县政府同意成立超阳村委会，村级建制延续至今。[1]

2023年4月，超阳村被列入广东省乡村治理示范村的创建单位，所属批次为2022年度。[1]
