历史沿革[edit]

1958年该地称红旗大队，1983年改为新轮乡，1987年成为新轮管理区。1999年，东源县政府批准在此设立村委会，名称沿用至今[1][2]。

文化[edit]

2019年9月，新轮村上榜「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单[1]。据东源县2024年政府工作报告，村中的非遗项目「上莞镇新轮村追龙」正在申报国家级非物质文化遗产项目[3]。
