礼士镇坐落在和平县南部尽头，东面与东水镇相连，西南面是东源县的船塘镇，西北与公白镇接壤，省道S229线自镇中穿过。全镇辖1个社区和8个行政村。县政府网站称该镇是革命老区，属山区农业镇。[1][2]

全镇距昆汕高速公路船塘互通出口约11千米。县政府网站载辖区面积74.12平方千米，博雅地名网同此数；百度百科载为70.15平方千米（2017年），维基百科则作87.2平方千米。三处数字不一，此处未作取舍。[1][2][3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，此地明清时称“梨树下”，后取“礼贤下士”之意改名。民国初年定名礼士。[2] 1949年5月，礼士乡人民政府成立。[2] 1959年，浰江人民公社被拆分为东水、林寨和礼士三个公社，礼士即其一。[6] 1993年，设礼士镇。[2]

全镇辖街镇社区1个、行政村8个。行政村依次为下涧村、龙水村、澄心村、梅坝村、大塘村、黄茅村、新丰村、三联村，各村分别见其条目。[1][2]
