美塘村是公白镇的一个行政村，村名源自村中一口池水清澈的池塘[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1949年以后，在惠阳地区管辖期间，此地称美塘大队部。1987年起，美塘与新石两村一度合并，改称美塘大队管理委员会，1999年改设美塘村村民委员会[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，该村列入2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。2021年12月，广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予该村「广东省卫生村」称号[1]。2022年8月，该村被确定为2022年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位[1]。
