公白镇是广东省河源市和平县的一个镇，位于县域南部，距和平县城约25千米[2]。镇子东南面与礼士镇相连，南面和东源县船塘镇为邻，西面接连平县绣缎镇，北面与合水镇接壤[2]。镇名来自镇上所建的「公白大皇」庙[5]。

历史沿革[edit]

明代正德十三年（1518年）起，这一带已被登记在和平县「四图仁义图」之内，清代设约，称杨峒约[5]。后来街镇上建起一座「公白大皇」庙，地名遂改称公白[5]。

1961年先立公白公社，此后经历1983年的社改区、1987年的区改乡，至1993年才定名为公白镇[4]。

公白镇的面积有几种说法：百度百科以2017年数据为63.77平方千米[1]，博雅地名网作约63.3平方千米[3]，和平县人民政府网站的镇情介绍则为61.71平方千米，耕地853.33公顷[2]。

博雅地名网记述，镇内水力资源可供开发，地热和辉绿岩的蕴藏也较为可观[3]。

以第七次全国人口普查的数字计，公白镇居民为7100人[3]。此前的数字差别较大：百度百科载2017年人口为1.11万人[1]，和平县人民政府网站的镇情介绍写作约1.36万人，未注明年份[2]。

百度百科引2017年数据，全镇工农业产值合计约7458万元，其中农业部分为7398万元，工业部分仅60万元[1]。博雅地名网所载的2003年农业总产值为2136万元（现行价）[3]，该网站还提到近年有山地被开发，大面积种植水果[3]。
