村名寄托了建村时居民希望村子强大兴盛的心愿。[1]

解放前该村称拥口村，1956年设强新初级社和高级社，大跃进之后改为强新大队，文化大革命之后改为强新革命委员会，1998年改为强新管理区。[1]

文化[edit]

2025年5月，强新村被授予「2022年度和平县文明村镇」称号。[1]
