村名的来历是：村中有一条河，河床多是河石，故名石坝。[3]

2023年5月，该村获广东省爱卫会评定为2022年广东省卫生村。2019年9月，该村入选2018年度广东省民主法治示范村创建名单。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年以前此地叫油竹，解放后设优胜乡石坝村，九十年代改为优胜镇石坝管理区，2000年改为村民委员会。[2]
