老街社区是连平县忠信镇下辖的社区，位于镇中心区。社区由原忠信镇老镇的上街头与下街门两个居委会组成。改革开放后镇区向外扩建，新城区一直延伸到栗园、黄岭、径口一带，原来的集贸市场变成了老街，社区因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区原属忠信镇老镇。随着镇区开发，社区于1991年在原址基础上改建，沿用至今。[1]

2019年9月，社区上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。2022年11月，社区被确定为「2021年度全国综合减灾示范社区」。[1]
