历史沿革[edit]
1987年，茶新从原大塘村分出设村，辖区从茶壶耳延伸至新来吴。[1]
广东省乡村振兴局于2022年1月把茶新村定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」的创建单位；茶新村于2024年3月获评「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
茶壶耳屋位于本村，建于清道光七年（1827年），由黄氏族人锡桐公（十七世祖）主持建造，为方形三重宗祠式围屋，屋前有半月形池塘，为广东省文物保护单位。[2]
1939年，「东江华侨回乡抗日服务团龙和队」的队部设在茶壶耳屋，旧址距油溪镇府约500米。[1]
