下扬村是油溪镇下辖的行政村。村名原写作「下阳」，因村位于油溪镇下片，村内多杨姓居民，后取同音字改为「下扬」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

下扬原为溪南的一部分，1976年分出独立。此后先后设为下扬乡（1983年）与下扬管理区办事处（1988年），至1998年改称下扬村民委员会。[1]

2019年9月，下扬村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2023年5月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
