大华村是陂头镇下辖的行政村，属村庄类城乡分类。村名出自早年多姓人家迁入聚居：罗姓自江西迁来，定居于现兴围、元杵、老围一带；刘姓自兴宁迁来，定居刘屋、楼下；王姓自连平迁来，定居围下、丹竹等地，多姓聚集，故名大华。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

大华大队于1978年设革命委员会，1983年改设大华乡人民政府，1986年为村民委员会，1992年设大华管理区，1998年11月再度改称村民委员会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

1948年8月1日，国民党军一部与连平联防队分路进入大华、塘田一带。「贵东反击战遗址」在茶头庵旁，占地约500平方米。[1]

文化[edit]

2023年5月，本村获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。2023年4月，本村列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单。2019年9月，本村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
